- - - - - - - | Harden Arts Crafts Period Slat Side oak Arm Chair Item # 2918 Click HERE to inquire about this item Harden Arts Crafts Period Slat Side oak Arm Chair, This arts and crafts chair was made by "Harden" and retains its original red label underneath that reads Harden furniture . Young furniture was from the American Arts and Crafts movement. They were competitors to Gustav and L and JG Stickley . This chair is quite hard to find because of the desirable long slat sides. The finish is all original. We just had a new leather seat put over its original seat frame which is the same color that was used in the period. This chair dates from the early 19th century. This desk or library chair measures 40 and one quarter inches to the top of it's back, 27 inches to the top of the arms and 20 inches to the top of the seat.
