Bench made American Federal banded inlaid mahogany side board, This American made Federal style sideboard is one of the best examples of a period American Federal sideboard that we have ever handled. This sideboard was handmade from the most beautiful mahogany and mahogany veneer. The inside drawers and entire inside construction was also made from the finest solid mahogany. This sideboard measures 72 inches wide by 38 and one half inches high,20 and one half inches deep at the extreme left and right and 24 inches in the center. The doors on the left and right hand side are 15 and one half inches wide by 14 and one half inches high, sixteen inch legs and a 33 inch center drawer. The back boards are also solid mahogany and there is a company stamp marked FB c1928. We are not sure exactly who made this piece but the quality extremely high even better than a lot of the Margolis,Wallace Nutting or Fine Berg pieces we have handled. This vintage sideboard has truly magnificent color and the finish is in excellent condition. As nice as this sideboard looks in the pictures is even more important looking in person.
