French Louis XV style parquetry writing cabinet c1900

Item # 6781

A French Louis XV style parquetry writing cabinet with a pull slide separating the upper section, accessed by double doors faced with faux book ends; and a large, open storage area, behind double doors; all on cabriole legs. The top, Italian marble with a reticulated brass gallery; gilt ormolu appliques on side panels and feet. Marked FRANCE. Measures 44 3/4 inches high x 26 3/4 inches wide x 12 inches deep. Excellent original condition.

An English Regency period mahogany drop leaf breakfast table; the top (45 and one quarter inches open) rectangular hinged with rounded corners and a reeded edge, fitted with frieze drawers on both ends, over a turned column, on 4 reeded, splayed legs. Measures 29 and one half inches high x 37 and five eighths inches wide x 24 and three quarter inches deep. C1820. This table has a wonderful deep rich old patina.

An English Country Georgian Period walnut chest-on-chest; 6 drawer upper cabinet with crown molding featuring inlaid dentil work and fluted, canted corners; over a 3-drawer lower cabinet, on raised bracket feet; original finish and etched brass pulls. 1st quarter 18th Century 1720. Measures 75 and one half inches high x 42 and one quarter inches wide x 21 and three quarter inches deep.

An unusual William IV walnut wall shelf or plate rack, the 3 shaped shelves (with plate groves), connected by delicate, double spiral, barley twist columns, ending in turned finials. England c. 1840. 20 and one half inches high x 37 and five eighths inches wide x 6 and one eighth inches deep. This is one of the best period antique racks we have ever come across.
