Wilcox Crittenden Co Middletown CT ships wheel. The Wilcox Crittenden Company of Middletown, CT, was established in 1847. By 1880, the company had become the largest and most diverse manufacturer of marine supplies in the country. It remains in business today. This wheel is from a commercial steamship that transported people and cargo between port cities. It was made circa 1880. Made into a coffee table

Antique English Renaissance Revival cabinet c1900

This antique cabinet is English. It dates from the Renaissance Revival, between 1900 and 1930, when massive European "court" style furniture was fashionable. It was copied after an Italian Renaissance period court cupboard. The dovetails, the gadroon molding at the base, and the inveted shield molding at the top are all machine-cut. The masks and medallions were carved by hand. The wood is walnut. Measures 64 inches long by 41 inches high and 24 inches deep

Late Art Deco style vintage bedroom set, made circa 1930. The five pieces consist of a double bed, chiffonier, dresser with mirror, vanity with mirror, and chair-back bench, They are beautifully veneered in book-matched mahogany strips and burr walnut. The green-painted accents inside the gold scrolls are unusual and very attractive

Set of eight Dutch antique dining chairs c1900

Set of eight antique dining chairs made of walnut, with burl walnut veneers. The chairs were made in the classic baroque style of the early 1700's. This style was characterized by: shell carrvings at the crests; leaf carvings at the knees; shepherd's crook arms; vase-form splat backs; and curved stretchers. They were probably made around 1900
