Country pine sawbuck dining table with bread board ends c1930

Item # 5257

Country pine sawbuck kitchen or dining table with breadboard ends, c1900 to 1930. This table was hand made with two wide and thick 15 inch early pine boards, held with breadboard ends, on an X base joined by stretchers. Each breadboard end is set with four hand made wooden pins. The table is easy to sit at, is quite strong and has acquired a rich old patina. It measures 30 inches wide by 64 inches long and 29 inches high. Period 18th century pine trestle tables in this size are very rare and sell for thousands of dollars. This vintage handmade table has the look and quality of a period 18th century table, without the high price.
