Item # 1663

Antique beds,"four poster beds" Sheraton furniture,American Sheraton finally fluted column cherry four poster bed. This antique period Sheraton cherry bed was beautifully made with fluted front columns and straight tapered back posts. It is one of the best beds from this period we have had. This period bed retains its original warm finish and is in excellent condition. There is a slight color change from the headboard to the footboard. The headboard had fabric over it for years and is a little bit lighter than the footboard as to be expected with period beds. See Wallace Nuttings furniture Treasury for a similar example. This period American cherry four poster bed came to us from an important Lyme CT estate. Excellent condition and finish.
