Set Eagle painted Sheraton country chairs. A true and rare set of six American Country plank seat chairs with original paint. This is one of the only sets we have ever seen with eagles painted on them. The eagles have a lovely blue paint. Each eagle is slighty different so the had to have been hand painted not stenciled. This set dates from 1820 to 1830. The set is in good as found condition. One chair has had a cracked seat that has been reglued and a repaired top thumb back. Two of the other chairs have had spindels replaced. The paint is all original and a dry mustard color. Each chair measures 34 inches to the top of its back,18 inches to the seat and 17 inches wide.

D R Dimes tavern table. This harvest or tavern table measures 34 and one eighth inches wide by 72 inches long by 29 and five eighths to the top. This is an early dimes table purchased in the early 1970's made from pine and maple. The bread board ends are mortised and so is the base stretcher. The top is hand hewn.We believe the early Dimes pieces were made much better the pieces they make today but that is our opinion. This is a very strong and well made table.
