Shaker chair,antique shaker furniture,This period "Shaker Chair" dates from 1830 and was made in Watervliet NY. It has wooden pin construction along with its original finish. The seat was changed to a fiber rush years ago and now has a deep rich patina.CONDITION,the chair has had two stretchers changed years ago that now match its original color quite well.This Shaker chair was made from maple and measures 26 inches high, 15 inches deep,the seat tapers from 18 and one half inches to 15 inches and is 16 and one half inches high.This was a communal chair used in a dormitory type dwelling. The chair was design to slide easily under a table for cleaning and serving purposes. Reference to this type of chair is listed in "The book of Shaker Furniture" by John Kassay page 74.

"Antique English Oak Corner Chair" This antique corner chair, circa 1760 to 1780, measures 18 and one quarter inches from front to back at the side, 26 inches from front to back corner, is 18 inches tall to the seat, the back of this corner chair measures 15 and one half inches tall, and the overall height of this antique english oak chair is 34 and one half inches.

American pine cupboard,country pine cupboard. Period American country pine cupboard with two drawers over two doors. This wonderful cupboard is all original including back boards and measures 43 and and one half inches wide by 44 and and three quarters inches high by 18 and and three quarters inches deep. This cupboard is unusual because the hand made drawers have a single huge dovetail both in the front and the back. The solid single board sides have boot jack ends. This cupboard dates from 1835.

Period antique mahogany Empire stand,"Empire sewing stand" This Federal period American Empire two drawer work stand is in excellent condition. Large hand cut dovetailed drawers and beautiful mahogany grain, along with its strait tapered pedestal make this a very desirable piece. This Empire stand dates from 1825 to 1840 and measures 29 inches high 16 and one quarter inches wide when closed. Each leaf is 17 inches and the total measurement when the top is open is 34 inches. The base width is 15 inches.

Period Java furniture,This period antique table came from "Java" in Indonesia. 18th century Indonesian furniture is very rare. This table has a single board top that measures an astounding 55 inches across. The bulbous turning gives a Dutch influence to its design. The base was turned from a single stock piece of teak and has three legs mortised into it and set with wooden dowls. This is one of the best tables we have handled.
