Antique English Mahogany betting chair. This rare English Georgian style betting chair was made from the most beautiful solid mahogany. The chair was designed so a person can sit backward while they watched and placed bets. Under each arm there is a swing out that holds chips or money along with a hand dovetailed drawer that slides out from under the seat. There is also a tray that flips up to hold drinks,cards,or writing material. This unusual piece dates from the late 19th to early 20th century and measures 33 inches to the top of its back,29 and one half across the back arms,18 inches to the top of the seat and 18 inches deep inside,22 inches deep outside.
