Antique Anglo India Hand Carved Rosewood Easel

Antique Anglo India Hand Carved Rosewood Cobra snake Easel. This Antique rosewood easel with carved Cobra snakes measures 74 inches high overall and is one half inches wide. The tray where the display sits, measures 27 and one half inches long and is 2 an three quarters inches wide. circa 1850 to 1860. This a very rare piece. Its design features hand carved cobras,and lizards. Excellent original condition.This is the only piece like it we have ever seen. We seriously doubt that there could be more than a hand full of pieces like this one in existence. It is also possible that it was commissioned in which case it is the only one.The cobras twist around every piece and the heads hold up the painting tray.
